John Muchow, Founder and Principal Architect has been involved in software development since graduating with a Master's Degree in Computer Science in 1988. Over the past 20+ years John has held many high-profile technology roles including Chief Architect and Principal Software Engineer.
John's focus on mobile application development began 2000, when he authored a best-selling mobile developer book, Core J2ME, which is still published in several foreign languages. He has written extensively about mobile application architecture, design and development, and delivered over 1500 hours of developer training in the U.S. and abroad. John has written several technology certification exams including the industry's first mobile developer certification: Sun Microsystems Certified Mobile Application Developer. John continues to write frequently about mobile technology and is the founder/author of the highly regarded blog iPhone Developer Tips, which averages over 100,000 visitors per month.
Accolades and Recognition
Each of the three Star Wars applications written for LucasFilms have been featured by Apple on the App Store. In addition, the iPhone application John designed and developed for rapper Snoop Dogg was featured on The Tonight Show in 2009.
John was also an innovator in early days of the Internet, creating one of the first web-based virtual home tour applications targeting high-end ($2 million+) homes - the software and process for creating the tours was featured on several television new stories as well as in local print publications.
